Join Denise Ippolito and Donna Bourdon for a very special safari in Kenya, April 24th- May 4th, 2027. My main guide in the Mara, Simon Kararei of Kararei Safari Kamps will be donating is camp, his vehicles, his time and his resources. He, Donna and I are going to be forgoing all salaries for this trip in order to donate 100% of the proceeds to help build a maternity wing at a clinic near the Kimana gate at Amboseli. This is an extremely poor area and women currently have to travel 20 miles for prenatal care and delivery. Most do not have transportation.
This workshop will include 1 night in Nairobi to give everyone a chance to get sorted and rested after their flight. We will then travel to Lake Naivasha for one night. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, here we will take a boat ride or two to see Hippos, African fish eagles and other water birds at close range. During this photo workshop we will also visit Lake Nakuru which is home to huge flocks of Flamingos. So many creative photography possibilities with flamingos! Then we will spend 7 nights in the famous Maasai Mara. Here we will target species such as lion, cheetah, leopard, elephants, giraffe, wildebeest, jackals, hyena, cape buffalo, and much more.

Deposit Information:A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 due now to hold your spot. Final payments are due May 15, 2026 via check or wire transfer only, fees on both ends are the responsibility of the participant. Credit cards will not be accepted for any payment other than deposit. Please note that I will do my very best to secure you a room mate; if I am unable to secure you a room mate then you will be charged for a single supplement.
